This is one of the two RPS fics I've written and posted in my regular (and completely friends only) journal lucy_lupin that I decided to make open to the general public for your perversion enjoyment. While it was written way back in 2003, it still remains to this day one of my favourite fics ever written and the only one I'm one hundred percent happy with.

Oh, I am very amused *g* Funny, smart and really quite sexy.

I was, unsurprisingly, a bit hesitant with the pairing since it involved breaking up my OTP *pets them* but the result is brilliant. Very well done. I'm impressed.
Hee, and I do love Olof =)

There's just not enough humour in this fandom, over all, and we need more of it. Really good!

Thank you :) I do love to write Olof. He's such a strong, silent type with seemingly no sense of humour that I love putting him in situations that get under his skin and make him all hot and flustered.

In my universe, the fic doesn't really kill your OTP. I wrote it with this back story in mind:
1. Thierry and Robert are best friends.
2. Robert has recently started dating men and has come out to a few people, including Thierry.
3. Thierry is secretly interested in Robert, but doesn't want to say anything as it would involve (a) admitting he likes men, which is something he is not ready to do, even to himself and (b) possibly putting a strain on his friendship and making Robert feel betrayed when he had used Thierry to confide in. In fact, there's definitely room to read Thierry as being interested in Bob in this fic.
And also Pires/Mellberg is a lust pairing - I don't see it going any further than a fling. So there you are. OTP saved ;)

Oh, you see, that is all well and well with the Pires/Henry pairing but 'tis not my OTP ;) Freddie and Olof is the one and only and possible way forwards *nodnod* But it's okay anyway, promise ;)

Well, either way it's not going any further than a brief fling ;p I just assumed you were a Henry/Pires shipper, they seem to be the when-all-is-said-and-done pairing of the RPS football set.

Yea, that's true. Henry/Pires is a quite nice pairing but not really my thing. As far as I know I'm the only one who's a Freddie/Olof shipper.

Aw, well, as long as you keep writing this beautifully I don't mind if you break up my OTP ;)

I can see why you would ship Freddie/Olof. But for some reason in my fics Freddie is always as straight as a di. I guess I tend to have pretty conventional RPS pairings, which is strange because in the Harry Potter fandom I'm the mayor of crack pairs - go figure!

Hm, yea...I don't know. When I watch them together during national team training and everything it's obvious that they're in love. And when I hear them talk about each other. Maybe it's because I'm Swedish and I see a different side of them than the one you get from EPL, for instance? *ponders*
