OMG I drew a picture!

This is the first installment of the cookies I promised for nentari and she_who_dares waaayyy back when after they correctly guessed something I was hinting at for my original fiction. Post-NaNo I really didn't feel like writing so I drew instead - and I hope you're happy with the results ( Read more... )

black and white, gifts, hufflepuff, art, house colours

Having had such a crappy morning (I'm now going to pretend that cricket doesn't exist), between you and composim you've made my week! Thankyou!

*enormous hug*

Seriously, I'd forgotten about the prize thing, so I'm glad you didn't :)

It features the lovely Heather as a Hufflepuff fifth year and doing what we she does best - fangirling Richie McCaw!
Oh god, you made me realise how shameless I am :-p

You are most welcome. Honestly, you're not that shameless you must work harder at it ;p. I have no idea how I came up with this one. I was trying to draw Hannah for you but she wasn't working for me, so I decided to draw you instead with a cute Quidditch player and thought, "Why not Richie?" ;)

Does this mean I'm allowed to be seriously blatant now? Lol.

I'm working on it, trust me - I just snagged an icon Rae made in her last post that says "Dear Santa, for Christmas I want Richie McCaw" - which will be making its debut soon!

You're right though, he would make an awesome beater. Must not mention those thighs. Must not mention those arms...

LOL, and here I was thinking I had actually toned down the thighs and the arms as he's 17/18 max in this picture, so he can't be too built ;p

I think we would all like Richie for Christmas. Apparently in New Zealand he's the guy most brothers would like their sister to marry :D

Beaters are allowed to be muscly though :) It's odd, I don't normally like muscly men, but rugby players seem to pull it off where others don't.

LOL, really? That's hilarious. I guess he does have the boy next door/nice guy thing going on.

It reminds me of a quote someone said about the England cricketer, Andrew Strauss, him being "the sort of bloke who'd take your sister out for a platonic Chinese after she's been dumped by her boyfriend", or something.

I guess it's because rugby players tend to be naturally big-boned blokes, so the muscles don't look too out of place on them. Whereas when smaller men are bulked up, the affect can look a little alien.

Ha ha, that's hilarious, and we all need those sorts of friends. I saw this 20/20 when they were interviewing people in his hometown and they asked this barman if Richie could marry his sister and he was like, "Hell yeah, he can do it tomorrow if he wants to." XD

I hadn't thought of it like that before, but you're right. I guess it's to do with the type of exercise they do as well, the muscles are built up a bit more naturally, whereas, I dunno, weightlifters concentrate their effort on a particular part of the body. I know nothing about this stuff, I'm just BS-ing now!

*giggles* blokes, eh? Mind you, I bet being able to say that the All Black captain was your brother in law would be part of the draw for a Kiwi :-p

I don't either, I'm just judging by what I see :) Richie was actually quite difficult to draw as I'm better at (a) girls and (b) smaller people, so he was like a two-for-the-price-of-one challenge.

And yes, men are silly :) I wonder what the sister of that bartender had to say about that!

Ah, challenges do you good anyway :-p

Ha, I'd like to know that as well! After she'd given him a rollicking for embarrassing her on national telly, who knows? Mind you, she might not be complaining about the idea...
