Divine irony tured tragic?
James Dobson's Focus on the Family put this video out before the DNC and Senator Obama's historic speech to call all the other evangelicals who listen to Dobson & his right winged cronies to pray for a divine disruption of the DNC and especially the speech... ...well, watch it for yourselves
As we all know, this ploy did not work and everything went as Scheduled. Only now there is the horrible news of Gustav. And it hit the very day of Bush's speech @ the RNC. Causing them to rightfully cancel his and other's speeches.
I am personally not religious and am not suggesting that a hurricane is God punishing or making example of anyone, even the religious right. These things are never a punnishment no matter what Pat Roberts son & Paster Hagee suggested about Katrina. He suggested that Katrina was punishment from God for planning a gay pride parade in New Orleans. He stated this on NPR 3 years ago. I am not making a similar suggestion by any stretch of the imagination. Mother nature reacts to a whole other source of things and not to wishful thinking cronies. BUT, now the RNC is having to scale down. And ppl in the gulf risk tragically losing it all again. Like they did 3 years ago while Bush & McCain had Birthday cake together. It's a scary and unfortunate irony.
I hope above hope all are safe and sparred. Do not get me wrong. I am not happy about this storm. It's tragic and very upsetting to me and to anyone who cares about their fellow citizens in the Gulf.
And with tragic situations like these we can be reminded that we are all in this life together. All equally important and valuablein the universe . ALL of us, black, white, Gay, strait, right-winged, left winged.
Now people's prayers can be put to much better use and pray for the safety of all the residents of these areas instead of partisan political prayers which are a waist of everyone's brain power and perhaps of the Almighty's time & energy.
