My sanity has been reinstalled, and I no longer wish only for sleep.
Christmas was fantastic. Working on Christmas was awesome. The owners brought in DELICIOUS homemade turkey with all the trimmin's, and we spent the first hour of my shift just eating and smoking and joking about getting beat up by dogs. It was such a laid back day at work.
My mom sent us clothes for the most part. Which is nice. And warm. She also sent me a really nice leather purse.
Brett got me the 3 disk special edition of The Wizard of Oz. I got him a fedora that doesn't fit (I know his hat size...but it wasn't sold by hat sizes. Large doesn't fit somehow.) and some nice comfortable slippers. Brett's dad gave me this beautiful bracelet that he found a really long time ago that was already really old at that point. It has turquoise and Native American designs set in silver. They also got us a Batman blanket that's some weird cross in art between the Batman and Robin movie and the Animated Series and a silly TV dinner tray with Keaton's Batman on it.
From all parents we got money.
Brett's mom also sent a couple of DVDs. Christmas was very good to us. And even though we were completely broke and spent a shitload of money of presents, it all came back to us. Karma works. I finally have the money to send out my extremely belated birthday presents for Kat and Zoe. But. I can't do it today because I can hardly move my leg without extreme pain.
While cleaning Ozzie's ears at work, he got away from me. Somehow, all of my weight on top of the dog wasn't enough to hold him down. He lifted me right up. And in the ensuing madness, I slammed my knee into the ground. I ignored it and got the medication into his ears, but the pain caught up with me a couple of days later. I somehow have a massive non-bruise spot of pain just below my knee and intense pain in my inner thigh when I extend it. I can't take big steps, and getting off the couch really hurts.
Brett's FINALLY feeling better after a week of insomnia. He'd go to bed exhausted and wake up a couple of hours later, unable to go back to sleep. So he'd spend the day exhausted. Ah, sleeping pills. They do wonders.
So my routine is basically to get through the day until I know I can just sit around and not do anything then smoke a nice big bowl to get rid of pain.
OH! And we massively cleaned the apartment. Everything's beautiful. And Logan got a fake bath (bath wipes), and good brushing, and ear cleaning. His ear stuff is all natural and smells really good. He's the softest soft boy ever now. He knows he's handsome too. He poses.
