"To Canada & Back" Walking Challenge

I'm creating a "challenge" for myself to keep up the motivation to lose weight in the 6 months leading up to the wedding. This post is just an easy place for me to keep track of the progress. I'm going to "walk" to the Canada border and back (Frederick MD to Niagara Falls, where we're going on our honeymoon in October). Plus, I think it will be fun ( Read more... )

Yes, the motivation was that I already did 22.4 miles, and it wasn't bad! I think it's a fun (although ambitious but doable!) challenge.

Well, if I could yoga my way to Canada, I would, but I'm going to lose interest in the walking probably immediately after the April 10 thing. (Except, I could be taking pretty pictures during my walks, couldn't I? Hmmm.....)

I like walking around downtown because although it's the same route, there's always different people and happenings going on along it.

I "passed" Holidaysburg, PA today! 51.3 to Clearfield, PA (a little over 2 weeks worth).

I ended up only doing 3.2 miles because of the cold, pouring rain. I saw a heron in the creek by the Delaplaine though! It was gorgeous.

And I didn't even count today as Day 1 for the 30 Day Shred. I watched it and went through a few motions, but I think I'll call tomorrow officially Day 1.
