Today I baked spekulatius (almond spice cookies) and gingersnaps so now my kitchen smells good.
I also went for a walk and watched chickadees foraging, nearly got run over by dogs (not really), found a pigeon tree (id est, a conference of about thirty rock doves) and discovered an active insect (I had to take a photo to convince myself, but of course it's not good enough to ID... maybe a hanging fly?)
Now I'm tired.
