Wow. Okay... so I am having a bit of a surprisingly emotional reaction here...
I'm actually tearing up a little. Definitely a slight freak out moment for me at this juncture. There is deeper meaning to be found.
I decided to check my Pandora listings to figure out what that really weird song was that I heard the angel singing in the (maybe) psychic dream I had a few nights ago. If you go back on very recently liked songs, they have samples and you can play that and figure it out, so I did.
And I found it! This obscure song that I loved, never heard before, never saw the video for or anything. It came on Pandora randomly one day and I thumbed it up- and for some odd reason this song stuck in my subconscious and came up very powerfully in that dream of snakes and empty moving trucks. The song is Midnight City by M83. I've never even heard of the group before.
In the dream, there were these faceless, sort of amorphous "angels" driving the moving trucks, and at one point, they were all singing the chorus (which is seriously high-pitched and eerie, I think you'll agree) and I stopped and went to an empty house and found an angel singing in an empty warehouse-like large room. It was singing this song to the point the world was vibrating, like an earthquake. Then he sang the chorus faster and faster and that's when I sort of shuddered and saw a series of images in the dream, sort of going back over it and really repeating the snakes and pipes and Phoenix, Ariz. I woke up to THIS song just echoing in my head. I couldn't go back to sleep because of it, and so went to write down the dream instead.
So-- looking to post a link for everyone here as well as document this dream better, I searched for a video on YouTube. I had no idea of what the song was about because I heard it in passing while doing housework. I didn't consciously pick up on any words or anything.
... and OH MY GOD. I'm seriously freaked out now. But watch this for yourself:
www.youtube.com/watch Notice not only the plot-- imprisoned psychic children escaping, but the motifs of big, empty rooms with high ceilings that come up-? And then, at the end-- the eyes, the weird sort of angelic aspect of the kids-? WEIRDNESS. I had no idea the song was about any such thing. Its really hard to understand the words, though-- so I have to look those up as well, and really-? They're pretty vague. Waiting for something to happen at night. Wow. SO interesting-- except not!
Waiting in a car
Waiting for a ride in the dark
The night city grows
Look at the horizon glow
Waiting in a car
Waiting for a ride in the dark
Drinking in the lights
Following the neon signs
Waiting for a word
Looking at the milky skyline
The city is my church
It wraps me in its blinding twilight
Waiting in a car
Waiting for the right time
Waiting in a car
Waiting for the right time
Waiting in a car
Waiting for the right time
Waiting in a car
Waiting for the right time
Waiting in a car
Waiting for a ride in the dark
Its the chorus that sounds almost like words I wish I could understand, IF its words. But... according to The Atlantic:
"What is that noise? A high-voiced monkey hoot? Some home security alarm pattern, looped? A pitch-shifted basketball-court sneaker squeak? More likely, the product of pure studio synthetics, but still: The strutting, four-note melodic pattern that adorn the first measures and the chorus of M83's "Midnight City" glares like neon--it burns a mark on the senses, and it thrills."

www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2011/07/track-of-the-day-midnight-city/242277/ The words don't really go with the video at all-- but the video does go with my dream in a way. No trucks (except the trailer that gets tossed across the warehouse) but still... interesting synchronicity!
They made a Part 2 to the story in this video:
www.youtube.com/watchThe song is just okay, but this time the story seems to imply even more that the children are either angels or aliens. What are the chances that I would just hit upon a song that just happened to use such a theme for its videos? Especially when I only heard it maybe twice in my life and the words don't seem related to the video at all? Coincidence? What else can we call it? (I hear Mike Clelland's voice in my ear whispering "synchronicity...") Indeed!
Changing gears a little...
Ah-- and the mystery of the time slip phone call was NOT a time slip-- but it was a very odd technical glitch. They traced the call-- it was from over a year ago, and it was from some problem at Verizon. A few people evidently got very old phone calls re-sent, perfectly recorded. Which tells you they're keeping records for over a year of that sort of thing-- time to worry! It was from when the co-worker's son had FIRST moved in with his dad and was so busy he forgot to call his mother, even after some incident (that remains private) and so said co-worker was very worried and sent that message. But, it was from the PAST, not the future. Though the technical glitch was sort of worrisome for a different reason... are they supposed to keep that stuff like that for that long-? So much for privacy, people.
But anyway, that removes some of the worry that anything major will happen anytime super soon.
Still-- what an odd set of things coming together like that...
I think I need to sleep on it.
(Meanwhile, I'm like 2 posts behind on my past experiences and I intend to get that done this evening or tomorrow morning.)
