Cat Applying For Pre-press Printer Job
Cat has been getting more miserable every year she works for this internet Do-it-yourself-with-our-help software company. They're not investing in updating their software and they refuse to hire enough developers to deal with the growing bug issues and ever-more-obsolete systems and it's driving her, an autistic person who just can't ignore details, up the fricking wall!
So a friend of hers sent her a job listing. It combines her skills as a programmer for print-ready projects like she does now, and pre-press design work for a major printer like she did at the job before her current one. She's missed working at a printers on things that are tangible, rather than always working up programs for other people to make such things themselves. And the place is a thriving and growing local business!
And-- she got 2 interviews in one week! It's clear the guy in charge of pre-press really likes her and wants her to be his new hire!
I'm thrilled because Cat really needs a boss who likes her and will fight for her to be truly happy at any job, and I prefer for her to be happy!
Her final, in-person interview is on Monday next week, and my fingers are crossed for her!
