...Wait... MONKEYpox!?
Covid was bad enough, now it appears there's a low-level emergency of a Smallpox disease usually only found in Africa, Monkeypox, that is on the move. It's 12 cases in 10 countries outside Africa, and it appears to be spreading among gay men. They don't know where it's coming from exactly, as they can't find any links to travel to Africa, so it's just spreading between people thus far.
Belgium is the first Western nation to institute a quarantine for those exposed in it's own country.
The info on Monkeypox is that it's a very mild version of Smallpox, rather like Cowpox-- which was what was first used to inoculate people from Smallpox back in the day. So... it's not that dangerous, but it goes to show that an epidemic or pandemic can come from anywhere at anytime...
