Went to the orthopedic doctor to check my foot and-- things are looking good!
At least bone-wise. Bones are healing better than expected and unless there are further complications, I won't need to see them again! Woot!
I have better range of motion than most, but I already know that's because I run around barefoot at home. I put on shoes to go outside (oh my gods is my right sole tender!) but inside my feet are free and that allows more range of motion.
Compression socks for swelling from my tendons and ligaments was suggested. They are still pretty messed up. But-- as the very nice doctor said, my injury was a complex one and lots of additional issues were expected.
Some days I walk slowly but almost normally. Other days I still waddle like a penguin just a little. But I am getting there! =^)
I asked how long I could expect before I would be walking normally completely, and it's going to be another 12 weeks. In my head, I translate that to roughly 3 months, so sometime after Halloween but before Thanksgiving I should be feeling normal again, but for a little arthritis in my foot at the injury sites.
All in all, not bad.
