Pagan Yule With the Roomies
We had our first Yule at Heron House today. It started with spiked warm egg nog and opening gifts. I was thrilled to get a raven container disguised as a big book, along with some gift cards.
Tess was shocked to get a brand new laptop! She happily got it started and went online. She hugged us and wasn't sure quite what to say, but it was obvious she was pleased!
YAYNESS and stuff!
We took a few hours to relax before having our special Full Moon/Sabbat combination ritual. It went well, and overall I was happy with it. We're still awkward around each other, though, honestly. We need to feel a hell of a lot more comfortable doing these sorts of things together before other people join us.
I wish I could have been more relaxed and engaged, but it's been a rough year and I'm struggling with the bare beginnings of a depressive episode. I know I can nip it in the bud most likely, but it puts a damper on my energy and enthusiasm.
Next year it'll be better.
