Blackberry Back

My challenging activity yesterday was trimming blackberry vines. They're terrible but ubiquitous all over the Pacific Northwest, and so dealing with them is part and parcel of living in this region. The front yard looks much more cultivated (and less jungle-like) than it did when I moved in, but there is still much to do...  I filled the 'yard debris' green bin for the recyclers (they turn it into mulch) and called it a day.

Maybe it wasn't smart, seeing as how I hurt my back using the weed eater earlier in the week. However, trimming things takes little effort. I'm really feeling the effects of having back-to-back flares for almost 3 months. It does feel like its releasing its grip, though- and I'm behind with so much to do! It is difficult not to overdo it, so I'm trying to take things on a piece at a time.

Meanwhile, being back on the blood pressure medicine is great-- but I forgot how tired it made me the first couple of days of being on it. However, I'm noticing that I'm feeling better overall once I get past the tired part. Once I adjust, within less than a week, things should be aces.
