My name is Leonardo. I work as a ghost in a very old castle with high towers and narrow passageways. I’m quite experienced: by the next year I will have been doing this job for 543 years. I have been a very hard-working spirit: I have scared to death, made tremble and made cry. Once, I even entertained a small child while his mother was unconscious, we had so much fun before she woke up.
Nevertheless, at this moment I’m looking for a new employment. The reason is this modern attitude of disrespect that I see constantly among the visitors of the castle. They aren’t nobles or servants anymore: they are t-o-u-r-i-s-t-s, what a horror of a word. All of this started in the middle of the past century. I had been hearing rumors from the neighboring castles about this new phenomenon but I had never taken it seriously until changes came to my home. One day, people appeared in my castle and said they wanted to put up “some audio and video” to make it scarier! This was an insult, and yet I have been working every day until yesterday, when an obnoxious young lady said when she saw me that I had a “poor graphic design”.
I will consider any job offer in Southern Europe. Perks and performance bonuses will be appreciated. I’m able to work in a team, although I prefer individual tasks. Please take into account that due to the peculiarities of my contract I cannot resign from this job, I can only be fired. For this reason, I won’t be able to start immediately as I need to fail repeatedly in order to be sacked. This will hurt my pride but not as much as working for these people who cannot appreciate me.
