Reading

I'm at the end of Queen of Camelot.
Well, I liked it. But the idea of Mordred and Mordred's betrayal was too similar to The wicked day's idea. It seemed like reading it again from Guinevere's pov.
I liked also Guinevere but I didn't like the idea of her as the only good important woman. Morgan and Morgause and Elaine bashing... I like Morgause and Morgan as anti-Arthur but I don't like when they are painted as "cruel" in every detail of their life. Being Arthur-haters and being cruel-mothers are two different things.
And I didn't like the fact that everyone, always, has to say to Guinevere how she is beautiful and mostly how she is courageous. And how everyone is in love with her. And the ones who don't love her are evil (as Galahad who is unsufferable). I'd love to read a good character who just can't stand her.
For example I liked the fact that Lancelot and Mordred are both two good characters but they can't stand each other, there is no evil character, they just don't get along.
However, I liked it. I LOVED her Bedivere. The best Bedivere ever <3

Now I'm reading the first of Gerald Morris' books! It's delicious!

And I read also Forever King (Cochran and Warren). Ohh, finally a well characterized Galahad. It's a pity they didn't translate the sequel into Italian. I'll have to wait till Christmas to buy the sequel.

(I just wanted to say about Exiled from Camelot: I didn't like, I REALLY couldn't stand, the idea of Kay being in love with Guinevere. Not the idea per se but how the writer described it. It seemed forced and not true).
