So, I don't think I mentioned it, but this year while on school grounds, it's been decided that I should wear mask and gloves to help prevent allergic reactions.
I'll admit, for the first 5 weeks I was miserable. Why? because although the mask did make me feel safer and such, regular breathing sucked, I was sick and coughing and basically breathing in my own germs and people were staring because, well, it was a surgical mask and it did look like I carried some sort of disease.
It was starting to really get to me.
But last monday, that mask broke and I needed a new one. And I made a decision. If I have to wear a mask for the next two years it's going to be something I'll be willing to wear and if people are going to stare anyways, then I'll give them a better reason to stare.
So now, I'm not the sick, zombie-infested animator that is avoided in the halls, I am:
Masked Animator: Now, how do I work this thing.....
MA: Oh. That's how.
MA: Aren't I damn sexy?
So, today was my test run in it and I had to laugh. I had people compliment me on it and got my picture taken. Made it easier to hold my head up. Also, I can breathe so much better and it's washable and will last so yeah!!
Please enjoy my weird little bit of happiness.
