AUGUST WRAP UP
August is, perhaps, consistently my laziest month. I did basically nothing,so here's a bullet point list of the basics (something I feel I may have actually done last year too...)
- The Phone Saga reached a dramatic conclusion this month; they told me there was nothing wrong with my phone so I complained and they sent me a replacement. The downside to this is that I live in fear that this phone will also break. It's nothing to do with my warranty running out, it's just that I found myself getting used to the courtesy phone, which caused me great despair.
- I bought all but four of the books required for my Masters. I've read one of them, and feel like I've been reading the second one for about twenty years now.
- Because I'm bored of reading the second book, I've read two other books that I've recently purchased, which is perhaps the nerdiest form of rebellion ever.
- It was my brother's 19th birthday on the 16th. We went to Akbar's, which was nice. Then the following week he went on holiday, which was very nice.
- Had a lovely catch up with Julianne, who is INSANE and has a full-time job. I pressured her into buying Patrick Ness' new novel and she called me the devil on my shoulder when it came to buying books. Though, in my defence, she really didn't take that much convincing.
- I also caught up with Olivia and Nicole, which was brill!
- My dad's had the whole month off sick. He has sciatica, and it's flared up really badly so he's in a lot of pain. I'm so used to having him around the house now that it'll actually be weird when he does return to work (which won't be for another week or so at least).
That's it! I'd say I'd feel like I'm missing something, and maybe I am, but I really, honestly did nothing this month. August remains my lazy month before I start back at uni. I'm already getting pre-Masters nerves, though some of it is excitement. I can't believe I start this month, it's come around way too fast!!
