Catching up

Jun 21, 2005 23:46

Summer camp is going pretty well. I got 5th and 6th graders (which I requested). It's always good to have a break from the real younglings[guess that movie!] and have the kids who actually listen to what you're saying, lol. Tomorrow we are going to The Clayground! I'm going to laughing all day and the kids will have no idea why, mwahahaha.

On August 22nd I start my first official teaching job! w00t!! I actually start setting up the room on the 1st, but the kids don't start till the 22nd. I'm totally going to the teacher store and getting all kids of dorky teacher stuff!! And I need to get a teacher sweater (you know, the hilarious holiday sweaters teachers always wear?) just to piss my sister off. *evil grin*

Okay, now here comes all the odds and ends I'm catching up on...

List your eight favorite songs and then pick eight people to do the same.

1. "Let It Be" - The Beatles
I love everything about this song. I love to listen to it when I'm sad/upset/confused.

2. "Hey Jude" - The Beatles
I just love it.

3. "Unchained Melody" - Righteous Brothers / Clay Aiken (remake)
So amazingly beautiful.

4. "With or Without You" - U2
This song seriously gives me goosebumps at the end, as dorky as that is. I'll never get sick of putting on my headphones, blasting this song, and belting out the end.

5. "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" - Elton John
I loved this song WAY before Clay sang it. I love everything of Elton's, but this song is my favorite of his.

6. "Livin' on a Prayer" - Bon Jovi
Freakin' awesome song!! LOVE Bon Jovi!!

7. "Imagine" - John Lennon
The man was a musical genious. This song is just so powerful and beautiful.

8. "My Sweet Lord" - George Harrison
George is probably my favorite solo-Beatle. This is a fun/happy/uplifting kinda song. Funny side note; I definitely thought he was saying "My Sweet Love" for 22 years of my life... lmao. It's still good.

Honorable Mention ['cause I wanna];

"Tell That Mick..." - Fall Out Boy -- I love them, and all their songs.
"I Want You Back" - NSync -- SO many memories
"Alone" - Heart -- Loved it forever.
"Total Eclipse of the Heart" - Bonnie Tyler
"Back Here" - BBMak
"You and I Both" - Jason Mraz -- Love him!
"Suspicious Minds - Elvis
"Midnight Confessions" - Grass Roots
"Like A Prayer" - Madonna
"Paint It Black" - Rolling Stones
"Walk This Way" - Aerosmith
"Yesterday" - The Beatles
"Perfect" - Simple Plan -- I wish I could dedicate this to my dad
"God Bless The Broken Road" - Rascal Flatts -- BEAUTIFUL <3
"Kyrie" - Mr Mister / Clay (remake) -- Loved this song forever
"Gone" - Kelly Clarkson
"Invisible" - Clay Aiken -- He totally sang it to me & Mary for 3 secs!! lol
"Exit to Exit" - Ryan Cabrera
"Cry Me A River" - Justin Timberlake -- It just ROCKS! Best break-up song.
"Friends in Low Places - Garth Brooks
"Stronger" - Britney Spears
"Love Song For No One - John Mayer
"All Downhill From Here" - New Found Glory

I tag... EVERYONE!! mwahahaha

You are one of the wisest Jedi of them all, and have had a very eventful career full of failures and successes. You are a skilled fighter, having defeated many powerful opponents in your time. You are not overly aggressive, though. You are more reserved and collected. Your sense of morality is without question, and you are a model Jedi.
