Tomorrow one of the receptionists is going to be out of the office, so I have/get to sit upstairs for the day (err... most of it anyway.) Which is good, because then I can talk to more people, but also bad, because everyone can see your computer screen at that desk. And by everyone, I mean everyone. Especially the communications department. I'll have tofind some way to be creative with my time tomorrow, because, usually, after I'm done with work-appropriate things like msn,com and news.google.com, I piss around on a whole bunch of random websites and draft MySpace blogs. Hmph.
I had my 90-day review today at work. In one week, I'll hit my 3 month mark. I was marked good all-around and I'm now a real, official, non-probationary DFA employee...which is really not much to be proud of. Not that I hate my job... I just would rather be not working. But I appreciate my job and the luxuries it affords me. Especially since it's prime lazy-person job numbero uno. And the company is fantastic and I'm probably one of the few folks int he world whoa re under-worked and over-paid. But being underworked sometimes makes me feel unneeded and that's no good. I'm looking forward to upping my work ante, so to speak, in the coming months. I'll need to. It's a good thing I'm easily amused, or I'd probably be losing my mind.
I took my mom on a date after work. Which means I planned, I drove, I paid. It was fun! We saw Pirates of the Caribbean (can't spell that word) and we shared a bag of popcorn... which basically means I ate the whole thing. But it was fun! The movie was fun, my mom liked it even though she didn't know what was going on most of the time. It was highly entertaining. A good Mom-Date movie. I'd reccomend it for your Mom-Date. I reccomend you take your mom on a date. She'd like that a lot, and you might like it, too. It'll be a pleasant surprise if you pay for her. =)
The pre-show included a trailer for Snakes on a Plane. Mom didn't get it.
