So I was browsing fandom_memes and I found one that I really liked, the meme itself was kinda simple but I got carried away because of the hotness of my OTPs and did some art to go with it and put explanations of why I think each song fits the couple.
Anyway this is the original meme:

I think she'd be good for him because she'd call him on his shit and he would actually listen to her, not to mention they'd have explosive hot sex. So I can perfectly see Kirk thinking along the lines of that song, it would actually be IC.

Despite the fluffy nature of the lyrics, it speaks about two people being separated against their will. Rose was stuck on Pete's World and the Doctor couldn't see her, but remembering her and knowing she was safe kept him going. And I love the line about "their friends" (and people in general) not understanding their relationship. Whenever Rose and the Doctor got talking it seemed like they were speaking in their own language (this happened more with Ten than Nine) and Rose did change the Doctor's world forever. I love this song.

Just like Samson and Delilah, Morgana will eventually be Arthur's downfall (if they stick to the legend), they love each other (romantically, as friends, or any way you want to interpret it) they want the best for the other but in the end they will have to become enemies and perhaps even the love and good memories will be forgotten. And just like Delilah, Morgana knows Arthur well enough to know his weaknesses.

This pairing is actually canon in some comic elseworlds and the animated series. The song pretty sums up Bruce's view of Lois, she will not take crap from him and will not sit there and let him angst if she has her way. I don't really like Clark and Lois (I don't hate it either and enjoy the occasional fic) so I think Bruce and Lois are better suited for each other.

Since I refuse to acknowledge the "Scarlett" book as canon, for me their relationship ended with "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" And despite that she spent a large portion of her life pushing him away and when they finally got married their happiness was short-lived, she really didn't know what to do when he left. I consider Scarlett a strong woman who did what she had to do to survive, but she really didn't think Rhett would leave for good. This song represents that for me.

Her crush was very cute and her eventual acceptance that he wouldn't love her back was bittersweet. She grew up and I hope that when we see her again she'll be doing great. This song really reminds me of their relationship.

I am a huge Rogue fangirl and I never liked her with Bobby, the guy was sweet but despite his vocal attempts to tell Rogue he was not afraid of her mutation, it was pretty obvious it scared him. I think Rogue loved him enough to take the cure, and that is why I think Rogue/Pyro would be better. Pyro would have embraced Rogue's power and would have probably killed her if she tried to take the cure while being with him. A relationship like that would be anything but healthy (HE'S A MEMBER OF THE BROTHERHOOD!) but I think Rogue would have had far less self esteem issues and embraced who she was if she was with a guy who wasn't afraid of her. Sure she would have to become evil but I think she would make a sexy villain anyway.
Well that was fun, now I have to read a few poems for my lit club tomorrow. Remember kids, procrastination is wrong.
