The Man Has Had 2 Iconic Roles Already.
He played The first African American baseball player in the MLB, Jackie Robinson in 42. He followed that up with the equally excellent film Get On Up, in which played the Godfather of Soul, James Brown.
He's Not Going Anywhere Soon.
He's signed his life away to Marvel, giving us at least 5 films as Black Panther. But you probably already knew that.
He's Got That Southern Charm.
He's from Anderson, South Carolina and went to Howard (a HBCU) and the British American Dramatic Academy at Oxford. Hopefully no nublack here.
The Man Can Direct.
He's directed two short films already. With a degree in film directing, acting wasn't Boseman's original choice. Phylicia Rashad (!!!), who guest lectured one of his classes, changed his mind. He refers to her as his "acting mom". He has good taste, obviously.
He's at the Christian Bale Level of Preparation for Roles.
For Get On Up, he trained up to eight hours a day to learn how to move like James Brown. The dancing in the film is all him. They even called him "Mr. Brown" on set and rarely made it to dinner because of his practicing.
Oh, and He's 37.
Black don't crack, obvi.

If you haven't already, go watch 42. He's so good in it! And Get On Up should have been released later, it was fantastic and deserved a chance at the Oscar race, imo.
