Do you recall
this crazy post?
Well it was to do with my bike being stolen from the mall, but because of my impeccable timing, I was able to recover it.
However, that is not the case now. What has become of my bike I do not know. Since last Thursday it's been AWOL. And the funny thing is that I parked & locked it on campus. Truly disappointed in the comradely Western students are suppose to show each other. Granted, this is by no means uncommon - textbooks, cellphones, laptops etc are all stolen on campus everyday. I take pride in my school, not often do you feel safe walking around campus at night. But it's disgusting to see the way Western students treat each other's property.
Now you wonder why it would be funny that I lost my bike on campus. Well you see, my neighborhood isn't the safest looking area. But I have never had my house broken into, nor my garage tampered with. *knock on wood* When I relayed my woes to my parents, instantly my Dad blamed me for not locking my garage door. It was pretty satisfying to discount his claim and to crush that all-knowing attitude. Err, I don't think I was able to get rid of it for good though. (what are parents for, but to wave around their wisdom?)
So I'm left with nothing. Not even my bike lock. That bike has some sentimental value. I was able to save it once already, so it was only a matter of time until fate caught up to it (a la Final Destination). At least I have my roommate's bike to borrow and the option of buying bus tickets. (Bloody ripoff though)
