school and such

Well, today was amusing. My History of Theater professor likes to use examples to teach us about different types of acting and how they convey emotion (like the time he had us all stand up and glare at one student to demonstrate intimidation). Today he and a student named Craig had planned to perform a scene in class, but they made sure the class didn't know it was staged. So in class today, Craig asked Professor Elwood a question about what he'd written on the board. Professor Elwood sounded annoyed and acted very sarcastic, and Craig responded by yelling and swearing at him. He screamed "Fuck you!" and Professor Elwood burst into tears and begged, "Can somebody please help me out?" Then he kicked Craig out of class. Everyone was sitting there stunned until Professor Elwood and Craig both started laughing and took a bow. That's when everybody knew it was staged. Unfortunately I got to class right after it was over and everyone was laughing hysterically, but they discussed what had happened. The teacher had done it to demonstrate "Theater of Cruelty," which is a type of theater in which the status quo is broken down and the audience's sense of security is shaken.

Also, I have engaged myself in a rather entertaining conversation on one of the bathroom walls:

Person #1: "All gods are carnivores."
Person #2: "I always thought they were vegans."
Person #3: "All carnivores will be reincarnated as tasty animals!"
Me: "If God doesn't want us to eat animals, why did He make them out of meat?"
Person #4: "People are made of meat too. :D"

And that's all for today. :)
