I love this

This is one of my favorite poems that Aunt Mary wrote. In the poem she compares her car to a dragon, which I think is really cool:

THE TOY
By Mary Rabinowitz, 1986

The fire-breathing dragon
Rolls through the night
Never stopping until dawn breaks the horizon.
Closing her bright halogen eyes,
She sighs with relief
Dining at last, filled to the limit
On Super unleaded, and rich 10w/40.
Shifting her smooth silver body into park
Arriving early upon our destination,
We praise her gratefully.
She basks, resting beneath the sun
All day while we play
Until our key commands, and
The dragon understands,
Taking us away again
On another mystical, magical ride.
