Meta Winter Lucky Pack Light
Hi everyone! It's my first time ever ordering a lucky pack, and a first time ordering from a Japanese brand site. So it was a pretty exciting experience.
The thing I tried to avoid most was getting a black blouse (I don't like wearing much black, especially close to my face) So when I found out there will be an option to choose the color of the blouse I was happy. Until I miscalculated the time difference between Ukraine and Japan and went to their website too late. Bummer. Anyway, I ordered a light pack hoping I will get a light blouse. The checkout was a nightmare till I finally realized I should have used Paypal, after that the process went smoothly.
My pack was shipped late, after the winter holidays. I got tracking number on the 7th of January and picked up the parcel on the 14th of January.
Everything was neatly packed in a white Meta shopping bag. Nothing got damaged, but I still would prefer they'd put an extra layer of wrapping. Here're contents of the lucky pack and a "thank you" note from Meta staff.
Luckily I got a light blouse (peachy/beige/apricot shade) with high collar and lacing on the back. I was undecided on the shiny polyester material - I hope Meta will make cotton blouses in future as well and this is a passing trend. However, after trying it on it grew on me. I think it would feel nice layered under JSK. The sleeves are a tad bit too big on me (I'm petite) but after tightening the lacing everything looks neat. White/off-white blouse would be more versatile, but I wear a lot of browns so I'm ok with the colour.
Here's a tote bag and packets with accessories. Just a simple tote, I will definitely use it in summer. Fabric feels like thin cotton. I guess it came with summer lucky packs as well.
Now, the socks. I realized immediately i won't use them. But somehow I don't feel disappointed. If I got the socks in matching colour (tan/beige/brown) I would have at least give it a go, but they don't match anything I have. Also they are tiny - how do people fit into the brand OTK socks? They are Melody Cat OTKs, with a lovely detail - cat's paw print on the foot of the sock. It is difficult to catch on the camera. I will try to trade/sell them.
The skirt I got was from Magical Painting Bear series. It's very cute, a little too sweet for my taste. I would still consider wearing it, if I didn't have an unexpected problem - the skirt is way too long. I checked lolibrary and turns out Meta sold two versions of this skirt - Medium and Mini, and I got Medium one (65 cm, approx 26 inches long). It goes way past my knees T.T I will try to sell or trade it too.
And last but not least, a hair clip and a necklace. Very cute, I'll definitely keep them. It's something that everyone was getting in their lucky packs this year, so I was positive I'll get at least something I like.
So all in all, I am satisfied with my lucky pack. Most of the items fit and suit my tastes, so I guess I was lucky. I will definitely order lucky packs from Meta in future.
