*Finally tried Metaxa - Okay, backstory time. I've been obsessed with finding this stupid Greek liquor ever since I saw this awesome old Heavy Metal ad. I finally found it at a suburban Greek restaurant, and got a weird variation on a Manhattan but mixed with this instead. It was called the Athena, natch.
*Oakland Ave Earth Oven Pizza & Golden Flask - This household of folks built a stone and clay pizza oven in the backyard, and once a week they become this speakeasy restaurant/bar. It's amazing and cheap and tasty.

*Halloween parties - I went as Medusa and Cory was Phantom of the Paradise ❤
*Hung out with high school & college friends (a HS friend married a college friend and now some of the two groups have mixed!)
*Day of the Dead stuff in various locations
*Got a speeding ticket and had to have a little hearing in order to banish it from my record
*Election Night, voting, and all that tenseness

*Neighborhood soup cook-off
*This is Why We Do This - an art installation by Andy DuCett - closing party at the Soap Factory
*November hiking in Afton State Park aka Hike Club
*Thanksgiving and Friendsgivings
*Comic Book Club inaugural meeting
*Christmas shopping and cards

*What You Really Really Want: The Smart Girl's Shame-Free Guide to Sex and Safety by Jaclyn Friedman
*You're Not Doing It Right: Tales of Marriage, Sex, Death, and Other Humiliations by Michael Ian Black
*Duma Key by Stephen King - Reading a Stephen King novel, especially a later day one, whaaaat, I know right. But it was pretty good.
