Bonk: the Curious Coupling of Science and Sex by Mary Roach
Rock, Paper, Scissors: Game Theory in Everyday Life by Len Fisher
Urawaza: Secret Everyday Tips and Tricks from Japan by Lisa Katayama and Joel Holland
*The Wordy Shipmates by Sarah Vowell
The World Without Us by Alan Weisman

I read way fewer comix this year than ever before, but I really liked Asterios Polyp by David Mazzucchelli. Currently publishing creators that I can get behind: Dash Shaw, Tom K, CF, Lisa Hanawalt (her comix are seriously hilarious), Gabrielle Bell, Jason, los Bros Hernandez. Also, I helped write a comic this year. Wild!
