I'm trying to learn more and more about India culture. DJ doesn't think I can as it's 4000 years of history. I don't need to know it all but it does interest me as he was born in India and speaks his mothers language and it fascinates me.So I was going through biographies when we were at Barnes N Noble. Well I orginally went there to look for a book on sleeping disorders. I only found Fibomyalgia w/ Chronic Fatigue. I don't have Fibo... I just have the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Its fustrating that my doctor will NOT look into it further. I can't get a second opinion because of my insurance. Sigh. Any doctors or pre-med out there???? (Worth a shot)
Well I came across Dreaming in Hindi which got horrible reviews on Goodreads.com. I came across The Name Sake on GR and DJ's ears perked up. He saw the movie in 2006. He said it was great. So Im currently trying to mooch myself a copy. Kal Penn stars as the main character. WOOT! Love him. I found a few other books that look interesting.
I'm also interested in learning Indian names for boys and girls. I have some American names picked out. (No I'm not pregnant. Let's clear that up before rumors start.) Ive heard of names and put the ones I like in a book. Of course it has to be something I can pronounce. Dhananjay is DJs real name and I can pronounce that. Its an easy name. (Dan and Jay) :-)
Anyone have any suggestions? I've read Eat Pray Love and hated it. :-p
