a day of firsts yesterday - first time paging at work (i was so scared!), first time closing on a monday night, first time actually stopping to look at the pics in my granny's house. and what did i find? a picture of my great grandpa and great grandma greeting none other than Queen Elizabeth as she was getting out of her car.
lucky family.
i also decided to sit down and ask my granny what famous people she's met. i think my jaw almost went through the floor. included in her list were Queen Elizabeth, Winston Churchill, the Kennedy's, and the Shah of Iran. what a loser!
katie - you're the luckiest person ever for getting to meet Romeo Dallaire. he is my hero. lucky lucky...
and to finish this, i just need to mention how fantastic the fans in Edmonton are. even after losing the game, the fans were still cheering them on. amazing <3
