Laptop Help
Hey guys,
Looking into buying a new laptop soon, as my 6 year-old 30 GB Dell with a max'ed out 512 of RAM just isn't cutting it anymore for some odd reason. I'm looking into getting another Dell, but the one I want is like $1,600-ish, and I seem to think I can do a little better than that. Basically, I'm looking for something that will facilitate my engineering work, ipod, and other various large programs (such as Matlab, Maple, Origin, ChemCad), music/video files, etc.; i.e., something I hopefully won't have to upgrade for a while. Also, any thoughts on Microsoft's new OS Vista (vs. XP Pro)? Any thoughts suggestions, comments, raging messages of hate... all are appreciated, and can be posted here or to my email, luckyduck21@gmail.com. Again, much thanks for helping a time-deprived nerd facing imminent laptop death.
