music of betrayal

Aug 11, 2010 09:57

stepping down onto the fine brown sand
miles he travelled from the greenery land
painted with hues of innocence he stood there
not - so- eagerly  waiting for me
fell into his arms that were stiff and cold
a kiss that was too formal and wasn't at all missed
was everything fine ?
i asked myself
as dusk passed by
two not - so- love birds were left behind
the night fell as the moon revealed his face
the three most beautiful words "i missed you " weren't spilled,
instead he sang me a song
"the music of betrayal"
the lyrics of which still echoes through my ears
frozen I lay there wishing to be dead
I wasn't forgotten but remembered only for coins
used and abused all I was
"my love " your name was supposed to bring me happiness
but fully handed you arrived
gifting me pain,hurt and sadness
oh Lord! I bend on my knees, pleading to you,
spare me from going insane
by sprinkling on me few drops of rain
