I GOT A JOB!!!
Well, Twitter already knows as that has become my primary social networking medium, but this news is big enough for LJ to know too.
I finally have a job!!! I went in for an interview this morning at a call center that does retention and sales for both AT&T & Verizon. The interview went very well, and at the end the guy said come in Monday morning for training, if you want it, it's yours. I of course accepted and now have a job :)
Some of you might have heard that last week I was actually offered a job at a Coca-Cola call center, no not offered, was given the job. Passed all the tests, all the requirements, signed all the paper work, even took a drug test. Said I had the job, and to come in for training the next morning. Then, on my way back home they give me a call saying that they cut the new recruits from 10 to 5, and I wasn't selected. Needless to say after feeling that joy of finally getting a job, then having it taken away so quickly I was a little more than depressed.
They then called me back again this week for an interview to try for another shift, this one much less desirable including working at least one weekend day a week, and all holidays, and the only way to get days off for cons or events would be to switch with co workers. I really didn't want it, but needing a job I took the proper steps. They said I should hear something by Thursday, but I don't care now, because I have a job with a much better shift. 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.
I know the job won't be easy at first, but I'll pick up on it, just like I did at Chase. Not much else to say, except, I think things are starting to look up, and I'm looking at moving back up to North Atlanta soon. With this job I should be able to make Elliot's Spring Gathering, so maybe I'll see some of you there.
