Because
eeyore9990 posted pics of her kid's in their Halloween costumes, I decided to do the same... but they're not really my kids lol but it still counts!! lol
I made them the costumes that they asked for, because I have too much time on my hands I'm so nice!! lol The girls asked to be Princess Peach and Daisy from Mario Party 7 and Jack decided that he wanted to be Mario.
I used a Cinderella costume pattern for the girls and just altered the colors and the neck line and put the dark strips on the bottom of the skirt. I also made them broaches out of modeling clay and painted them with random paints that we own. I put clear nail polish on them to make them shiny!
For Mario, I made the hat with a "hex hat" pattern and sewed the "M" emblem on the front of it. I got overalls that are too big for him at a thrift store because stores apparently don't sell overalls any more unless its for babies...ftw? but it turned out to be a good thing because I sewed the big yellow buttons on over the clasps and he has to loosen the straps to get out of the costume because the clasps don't open any more. The mustache is felt.
ONTO the PICS!!
