Yeah, 'tis the season. Christmas is usually a really busy time for me. So far, we've been looking around for Christmas present (on the cheap of course)...I have the feeling we'll be handing out a lot of gift cards. I like the Holidays...my Jewish friends are celebrating Hanukkah (or Chanukah) and there Kwanzaa and Yule. My birthday's exactly a week before Christmas and I used to get the "Here's your birthday AND your Christmas present" thing.
Luckily, that's not quite as bad anymore.
Been really busy with writing and art. Completely redone my art store, here:
Phoenix Arts Store. New products for Christmas and Kwanzaa, and gifts for the chocoholic, cat lover, and everyone special! It's connected with my art blog,
Phoenix Arts (formerly Lady Rainbow's Art)The kids have been doing well. Sarah has been chattering up a storm. "Yeah!" "No!" "Dada!" "Bye!" "Uh-oh" "All done". It's still a wonder to hear her talk, especially since the other two are still non-verbal. Both Michael and Christina have been making more noise, and I think it's because they see their younger sister trying to communicate.
Hubs will be on another business trip to New Jersey tomorrow, gone till Friday. He was gone for a week before Thanksgiving too. After he gets back, he'll be taking the whole week before AND after Christmas off. He'll be baking cookies and making goodie boxes, like he does every year. I plan on decorating a little bit while he's gone, though...he really isn't one to be decorating much, and in previous years, his way has dominated what we do. It's been slowly but surely changing. Most of my efforts has been pretty quiet, and there's been a lot of resistance. He's made some really boneheaded remarks lately (especially about my rheumatoid arthritis pain), but I'm used to his verbal rants.
Thank God for support on-line. My on-line friends know me better than my own family does, at times. And it keeps me sane, especially during this already VERY cold season.
Till later.
Annie
