General Supermum's campaign against the flu bug (worse than Wraith or Romulans)

Feb 11, 2010 10:06

Sorry for the huge delay in updating, but the flu/colds/general yucks are visiting at my house. And they've been unwelcome guests that I've been trying to get rid of, but they seem to have entrenched themselves into the foundation of the house. :0( One bad thing about being immuno-suppressed (thanks to the medication I take for my rheumatoid arthritis) is that you pick up every freakin' bug that the kids bring home from school. Michael started it (missed 3 days of school last week), then it passed to Sarah and now Christina and I have it. It's been a rough week...Robert and I are both running on minimum sleep and a LOT of coffee.

BTW, though I'm sick, hubby fled to work. I did call him and made it quite clear that I'm not sure how long I'll be able to be conscious and actually functional, so he *grudgingly* said he'd try to cut his work day short today. As in, get out at 5 PM instead of 6 PM.

The girls have appointments w/the doc today at noon EST. I had to reschedule Christina's appt. with the pediatric cardiologist that was supposed to be tomorrow, and now it isn't until MARCH. UGH! Trying to get an appt. at Sanger Clinic can be a real PITA because they're so busy. The receptionist was really nice and sympathetic, though, so that's a plus. I really like the docs there.

I'm running on waffles, coffee and virtual brownies from cedarrapidsgirl . Much appreciated, love!! :-)
