Stone washed mom jeans are only the beginning. There's so much in the way of hot fashion right now that reminds me of the 80s and what I hated about it; yet these designers are suffering a relapse (lack of originality) and have jumped on the retro 80s bandwagon with the shoulder pads, the leggings, the 'thriller' jackets (some of which are kinda cute) and other things I just REFUSE to wear AGAIN LOLOLOL

Anyhoo, the dress sounds like a bargain :)

I like a good throwback, but it seems these designers today are only reaching back for the stuff that, yes, defined an era, but are not hot. I think maybe it's the ironic nature of the fashion I hate too. It breeds pretentiousness.

The dress was a steal and it's much better looking than anything they have at Old Navy.

I used to have such a passion for clothes, but now I have to drag myself to the store to replace my old ones. And those jeans are a clear example of why that is. *sighs*

I'm glad you liked that fic. I was iffy on it and now I want to write cracky girl!Mohinder high school au and Sylar/girl!Mohinder/Gabriel, except with much angst.\

I never had much of a passion for clothes becuase there was no point. I didn't start wearing fashionable clothes until I was out of high school and by then I couldn't bother to keep up with trends. I need new jeans and I just can't be bothered. You actually have to try them on and exert some energy.

The new teaching job will be good, I think. It's summer school and kids are a better focused because they're there most of the time because they want the credit badly. This will be my first English teaching gig, so I'm excited.
