Hello! I'm back from the trip and I bring pictures. Not many, but it'll do. I saw many things on my trip: homeless people, pavement, homeless people, a tree, and the inside of a car for many many hours. It actually wasn't that bad, although the wait to get back into the states was extremely long and uncomfortable, but overall it was kind of fun. In Bellingham, my dad and I found some awesome running trails near the bay. They went over the docks so you were right over the water, which was really relaxing. Instead of staying for another night in Bellingham we decided to pack it up and head over to Burnaby and spend a night next to the Metrotown mall. That mall is made of epic fucking win. I'm usually not a mall person but there are so many stores that I love there so it's hard not to enjoy being there. I ended up getting a jacket and a shirt that says "I love TV". I saw the shirt and I totally had to have it. It practically sums up my existence (kind of).
The next day we went to Stanley Park and had lunch there before going downtown (their fries are amazing). The rest of the trip involved a lot of walking, painful pullout beds and an outstanding amount of souvenir shops. Speaking of, I found cool bag to carry my crap in and I'm hoping come track season it can hold my spikes without tearing. Our last night we went up to the Capilano suspension bridge, which turned out to be a lot more fun than I thought it would be. On out way back my dad really wanted to try out this bbq place a block from our hotel so when we got back we were going to order take-out, but no, when we got to the hotel it was surrounded by hundreds of people decked out in orange and black going to the first football game of the season. They had a street party with a live band and everything. Usually that would be fine with me but when my dad went down to the bbq place to order they said that they didn't do take-out on game nights. Brilliant, just brilliant.
Here are a few shots from the Washington/BC trip.
