[Clothing] Relatively typical sailor school girl uniform with a black skirt and white top. Her top is way too big for her and Akira often flaps her sleeves whenever she moves her arms. Wears black stockings and brown loafers.
[Background] Because Akira is a minor character in Lucky Star and not actually a character in the show Lucky Star within the anime there are very little details about her past.
Akira is in the entertainment business, and considering she is the main host of the Lucky Channel, it can easily be assumed that she is a rather famous celebrity. As she constantly reminds her assistant whenever he might slightly disagree with her regarding anything Akira has been in the entertainment business since she was three years old. Akira is well rounded in her entertainer history, having been in movies/television shows and performing concerts on stage.
Akira's family life is not often mentioned, but it is mentioned that her parents are divorced and she lives with her mother (her father "skimps" on child support). Her parents also have control of her funds since she is a minor and only give her an allowance.
[Personality] While on her show the Lucky Channel, Akira is very bubbly, cute and spastic, passionate, and very energetic. She comes across as a very typical young, happy kid host, and also has a childish way of talking, using "cutesy" words and the like. Imagine an otaku on sugar, and this is how Akira appears when the curtains open for the show. However, she is very sensitive, especially to topics regarding the entertainment business (which she knows all about), the cuteness of the characters in the "show" Lucky Star, and other random things. Almost immediately her attitude can switch from happy-go-lucky to that of a lethargic, worn out "has been" movie star, often sporting a lit cigarette and a frown to rival that of an old spinster.
Akira is very selfish and pretty much a brat, especially when she is in her "serious" mood, which turns out to be her real and off-stage personality. Much like one would expect a star of the entertainment industry to be she is confident in her experience, always willing to offer critique on her co-host/assistant Minoru's acting abilities in Lucky Star since he only plays a minor character with a handful of lines, and considers herself Minoru's superior, even criticizing him for not knowing the "hierarchy of things". She cannot stand being interrupted, contradicted, or being told she is wrong in the slightest bit.
Of course not too long after her un-happy self makes it's entrance, Akira snaps right back into her bubbly and excited behaviour, often leaving Minoru and those around her terribly confused and exasperated.
[Specialties/Abilities] Talented singer and "actress". She's really only a mediocre actress, but she is a good singer.
[Affection] Hugging/glomping is perfectly okay, although Akira's reaction would depend on her mood.
[Fighting] Other characters could fight Akira, but it's really not worth it. She can't do much damage other than biting, hitting, and throwing ashtrays.
