well, this semester has kept me quite active. it is wonderful being back in wentz as an ra and having some of the same great people around, while also meeting so many new folks :: i have been working for almost a year with a group of other uw-l people on a leadership conference, glacurh, which is going to be happening this weekend. crazy! a whole year coming to its end in a matter of day :: i went active in the sorority again and am the parliamentarian for the semester. so i get to sit in the front and if i had a gavel, i'd get to use it. but i don't, so basically i just sit at the front. my favorite part of the gamma sig semester is coming up-formal! woohoo :: i have been giving campus tours this semester too as a vanguard. i usually give one every other week, depending :: i've finally been going to some progressive meetings, and really am excited to work more in that group next semester. they have opened my eyes to things i didn't even know were going on, and things i think most people aren't aware of/don't want to be aware of :: i'm taking thirteen credits this semester, which is pretty darn good. i'm not a fan of chemistry or anatomy, so i'm kinda struggling/slacking. but i can handle it. i just bitch a lot about those classes. that is pretty much my life in a paragraph.
last weekend i was able to go to duluth to visit my older bro for the first time since i came to college. i really hadn't seen him since last christmas, which is sad. i woke up early saturday morning for the five hour drive there. i got there around 3 (after, of course, getting lost) and took some time to catch up with him and see his place. we headed into duluth so i could see the places he works at and walk down by lake superior. we checked out a few coffeeshops (duh), including one he has played guitar/sang at in the past. we stopped at a neat place away from the campus area of duluth at actually got some coffee. while we were sitting by the window there was a older gentleman who threw chairs at the window we were sitting by. we're not really sure why, but got a good laugh out of it! we had dinner at pizza luce, which is amazing, and went to the electric fetus where i bought the new nada surf cd-a smart investment. we went back to his place to find that his roommate and friends had been drinking for eight hours and were not planning to stop anytime soon. to avoid any frustrations, we left and drove around for a while just listening to music. it was so nice. that is one of my favorite things to do. he stopped off at dq for a snack, then went back to one of the coffeeshops to hear some live acoustic music. we went to superior for a while too so he could show me a bar he frequent with friends. by then it was after midnight, so we headed back to his place when we heard the drunk people had cleared out. it was great to catch up with him and see that he's doing alright. he has some great thoughts and is basically an awesome guy and i rarely get/take the time to see him. i left duluth around 10 sunday morning to be back in la crosse for some hardcore procrastination.
hmmm, that is all.
oh, i hate chemistry. and that is all.
<3 you
love, bree
