So let's see Tuesday, I spent the day lounging and reading Wicked until about 12:15 when Phil demanded I shower and accompany him to the mall. So I did. I got two new pairs of jeans and some socks at JCPenney and seasons 6 Part One and 4 of Sex and the City plus Phantom of the Opera and Cinderella all courtesy of gift cards. When I got back I had enoug time to read for about half an hour before I was out the door to see King Kong with th family. Personally, I am on the middle on this one. As far as directorial style goes let's just call this Lord of the Rings 4, nothing even remotely new or inventive about it and, in my personal opinoin, not enough throwback to the classic hollywood format. As far as plotline and story go, however, it was wonderful. Naomi Watts is gorgeous and a great actress, Adrian Brody is just fantastic, and Jack Black really pulls off the roll he took on, a surprise to more then myself I'm sure. I'd give it a B. After the movie I came back here and Derek stopped by. We watched War of the Worlds with my dad. It was better then i had expected it to be. A little drwan out in the middle, no more so then some of the longer fight scenes in Kong but an overall good solid B as well.
Today I cleaned my turtle George's cage and scalded my hands in the process. Then I helped my dad move furniture around for a while, read more of Wicked and showered. Later I think I'm going out to Tinley for an Arrested Development marathon. le sigh. oh well it's something to do. Anyway, off to eat dinner. :)
