Okay. Let's all take a moment and process this news.
First (and, really, foremost for me) this means that Idina and her flawless voice will be BACK! Probably toward the beginning of the season if they're announcing it this early.
Second, this means a Rachel plotline that (hopefully) Finn is not at the center of. I am ridic excited about this prospect. Cory is a fine actor, but I really do think that Lea is better and she should be able to have substantive interactions with others on the show. Scenes between Lea and Idina have never disappointed me on a technical level. (The writing and plot choices are another story.) It's crazy how much they actually look alike and I can't wait to see what happens with that.
LASTLY, AND AMAZINGLY...Idina being back means that there is NO WAY they can avoid the subject of that baby that never happened. I...had practically given up hope of this ever happening. SERIOUSLY. I better get some Puck/Quinn scenes out of this, or some acknowledgment of the fact that THEY HAD A BABY. I may just cut a bitch if I don't. Just sayin'...
All in all, I am PRETTY DAMN EXCITED. So glad all that "no more guest stars" talk from Ryan was just BS.
Also, pure spec and murmurings, but I heard NPH manning Ryan Seacrest's radio show this morning (SO GREAT. He was like "I'm here and Ryan is...changing my twins' diapers. :D) and he said that he's been told they have more plans for Bryan Ryan. He hasn't been asked back yet, but it's still early.
