Clay's still looking on the job front. Except for a couple of days last week, he's posted for an average of 12 jobs a day. Not to mention the resume postings, the friends who have passed on his resume, and the headhunters that have asked for his info. We kinda knew this wouldn't be a quick process and it's only been about 3 1/2 weeks but we'd both be more comfortable if he were getting some solid job offers.
Meanwhile, the insurance company offered us a figure for Clay's car. It's not as much as we would have hoped but it's not a total insult either. Now we begin the process of looking for a car. Yay. We're thrilled. Can't you tell?
The promotion is exciting and I'm thankful for the opportunity but it will be a hella amount of work to get this off the ground. I'm replacing a girl who leaves tomorrow and I feel so ill-prepared. They keep telling me that I'm catching on fine and that I already have half the job down, but it feels like I have the easy part understood, while the rest is completely overwhelming. So...I'm gonna take it one step at a time.
But best news of all, the wedding was perfect. The rehearsal dinner on Friday night went beautifully and the pub crawl was so much fun. And while I thought I'd be stressed out on Saturday, I wasn't. Not at all. The few things that were problems just rolled off of me. Friends and family worked very hard in order to make sure that everthing came together. It was just beautiful.
