You know what I want? I want to be local again. I want to live in Pittsburgh where everyone is and everything is happening, in a real city. I want a crappy studio apartment on a bus route, and I want to make every goddamn WorD meeting, booksale, lunch, Alpha planning whatnot, and all of it. I'm sick of being so far out of the loop that I can see

If it's so terrible, can you transfer to Pitt? Or one of the other schools 'round here?

Not without damning myself to near-freshman status once more. I can get out of Indiana a semester early at this point, and I'll be a junior this coming year. Indiana's not so bad that I can't handle it, and certainly not worse than indebting myself even further than I currently am. And Pitt's history program is not better than IUP's. For a start, we actually have a Middle Eastern historian (though I'd rather have multiple, plus an Africanist and Southeast Asia and the Pacific and a Native Americanist...and I can just keep on dreaming here).

Mainly, I'm annoyed with one of my roommates and I miss WorD and my Pittsburgh friends, and the roommate I'm pissed at crashed our car so I'm without convenient transport. And I pine to live in a real city again, where there is more than one Indian restaurant within the city limits.
