turkeys.

Thanksgiving was fine this year, but just kinda... dull. None of my cousins from out of town came to Kokomo. My cousins that live in town never even came by my grandparents', so it was just me, Mom, Steve, Bill, Grandma, and Grandpa. And we almost didn't eat dinner together at the table. Grandma told the boys they were welcome to take their plates in the other room to watch the game. This bothered me both because 1) it's THANKSGIVING- you eat together, that's the point, and the only exception MIGHT be a close Packers game, because then the whole family would want to watch it together, and 2) HELLO- I love football too, don't be sexist and only mention it to the guys. But the meal was tryptophantastic (can't take credit for that- I stole it from Ryan who stole it from Benji, but I still thought it was a great adjective for Thanksgiving). Mmm, Grandma's stuffing. My mom left the pumpkin pie at home, but seeing as I don't particularly like pumpkin pie, it didn't bother me. It was just kinda a blah afternoon of watching TV, looking at store ads, trying to look at wedding pictures on the slowest DVD player ever, fighting my grandma's crazy dog, eating, and watching a video of my grandpa getting to fly a WWII plane (he apparently paid like $500 to do it, but he's really proud). It was an okay afternoon... just not awesome. I mean, I didn't even get to see Gracia or Tom (or Tony, who goes to Purdue but I still never see).

Steve is cracking me up these days, saying all kinds of funny things (usually not on purpose). I've started writing them down because they're just great. "I mean, it's not like she's going to be the Miss America of Indiana" ... haha. And he really wants to meet Ryan (I'm not really sure why he does so much). And he wants to hang out with me a lot (we started playing a game of the Sims today, and he started watching Eternal Sunshine after I told him he should see that movie since I love it.) It really has been pretty fun hanging out with him. And so far, no brotherly/sisterly fights. This surprises me, but pleasantly.

I'm really sorry this is such a boring update; I think I'm mainly updating because I'm bored. Maybe I should go to sleep; I think I'm going to try to get up at like 4 to go to Best Buy and get some early deals. They open at 5 :( and then I'd come back, maybe take a quick nap, and go shopping with Aubs for awhile. And then go in to work for 6 hours... and then I'm hanging out with Terrance at Starbucks. (Not as good as Book Nook, but it'll work.) CRAP. No tengo money (out of my bank account). I'm quite used to that convenient dorm ATM. I hate to take out more money, since I have a lot lately... but I want to start Christmas present-ing, and I'd like to get a few new clothes, since most of mine feel a little too tight. And as much as I need to find some kind of exercise to solve this problem, I sincerely doubt that I'll be doing much of that in the next few weeks, since it's pretty much almost finals. :( Anyway, I haven't gotten a nice Christmas outfit in the past couple of years (I've worn prom/band dresses for the past few Christmases), and I think I would like one. And a pair of khakis or a sweater or two would be nice, because my wardrobe is kinda lacking in khakis and warm long-sleeved stuff.

I think I'll work on a Christmas list tonight, and maybe post it here. :) Hope you all had a happy turkey day!
