Pirates are not just in the past and in movies. w00t.

Fun weekend thus far. Friday night, improv and hanging out with improv friends at steak n shake. I'm finally getting to know the group better, and it's so much fun. (And may I say that cuddlage is also so much fun.) So, Saturday I slept in and got up about 5 minutes before I was supposed to meet Boozer for lunch. We ate, and then went to the football game, which was AWESOME. We finally won (breaking a 6-game losing streak), and it was a fun game to watch on top of that. I should've grabbed a hoodie, but it was okay anyway. It didn't rain for very long at all. Anyway, I was extremely excited, and the crowd got so into the game. I think it was the most school spirit I've felt for Purdue. :)

After that, I came back to the room and wasted some time, then dinner, and then I showered, and then did the typical girly "what-do-I-wear" mode, which I always feel pathetic being in but I can't help, and eventually made plans for the evening. Didn't have a tremendous amount of time for cutesifying, but I believe I ended up looking alright... lol.

So, Ryan, Andy, Jackie, and I ended up on a double date of sorts. There were a few moments when it was a bit backwards (the guys going together to the bathroom, and the girls coming out of the bathroom before the guys?!) but all in all it was fun. We went to Applebee's, where I had a kiwi lemonade (they're sooo good), and then to Barnes & Noble, where I browsed over the Packers books and proved again- as if it was doubted- my obsession. After wasting sufficient time, we headed back to Wabash Landing to see Chicken Little. I was a bit surprised, because Disney movies haven't been the greatest in the past few years, and this one was surprisingly funny. Me gusta'd. I think Andy will buy that the day it comes out. And I think Ryan was kinda relating to the guy at the beginning, which was amusing. And THEN Chicken Little started singing a Queen song. With a spoon. It was pretty perfect.

We also happened to notice that there are extremely few Disney movies where a main character has both parents living. Think about it. Ariel, Belle, Simba eventually, Cinderella, Snow White?, Finding Nemo, Toy Story (think about it- even when they were moving, where was the dad?!...but I could be wrong here), Jasmine, Aladdin... sure, some movies are exceptions, but it was kinda a weird revelation. I've decided if only I was a princess too, my life could be a Disney movie. Oh, and if I could sing really well. Those appear to be the requirements. And then I could live somewhere cool, and find a prince charming... tall, dark, and handsome? (or at least 2 out of 3, lol). Anyway, feel free to post your additions/contradictions to the Disney Movie Prejudice against 2-parent families.

Anyway, it was a fun night, and I got to hear quite a bit of interesting music (Andy Ober Orchestra- yeah, that's right, look em up if you like parodies like "Pi, Pi, Pi"; a bit of Weird Al; Spamalot soundtrack.) So we went back to the dorms, and I hung out inside for a bit before deciding to go out and watch the storm. A VERY good idea, may I just say. And a very good ending to the evening. That said... it's nearing 4 am. Time for bed. :)
