Well,
apparently we have some shots of #38, and although I can't see half of the dialogue this is what I gathered happened:
- Aizawa taking off his pants to pass through security. I gathered that it's because his belt needs to come off... But...
- Aizawa is married and with kids!
- L, Misa, Raito having a "date" in Misa's room.
- Misa tries to bribe L to leave Raito and her alone with cake. (like that'll work :p)
- Raito changes the topic by asking L why he seems so unmotivated, and Misa complains.
- L explains that he's very shocked that Raito isn't kira, etc., at length, insists that he really thinks Raito and Misa are kiras, and suggests that maybe kira can transfer his powers to somebody else while erasing his own memory. (L does know everything!) Raito says that they don't know much about kira yet and encourages L.
- L makes some statements of frustration.
- Raito becomes angry and punches L. More statements of the reasons of his anger. L fights back (he knows Taekwondo!? I guess L needs to counteract all the sweets he consume in some way) saying "an eye for an eye".
- More fighting with L seemingly becoming more determined that there is a way such that Raito is kira. Their fighting is especially hilarious in that they are chained together and with the way they're fighting hitting the other will hurt themselves as well... Somewhat symbolic I think.
- Just as the outside is talking about breaking the fight up with a phone call, Matsuda gets news about Misa and calls L with that instead. Because of all the publicity Misa is becoming popular and is cast in the lead role of a film. L doesn't tell Raito and Misa about that.
- In kira3's place kira3 and Rem discusses whether the real kira (Raito) exists, whether to kill more criminals, develops a system of killing methods and time, and how kira is necessary in the world. (with a sprinkling of enterprise loyalty)
- Few months later... (note the enormous Apple cinema displays on Raito and L's desks...) L is still unmotivated, but Raito has good news to cheer him up. (case-related!)
