MiroSanta is nearly done; wrote a good two thousand words of it last night but am really happy with what I've got. Deadline isn't until next week anyway, and the post hasn't gone up at
the_chasms yet telling us that we can link our fics.

“Where’s Aizen-sama?” The only female Espada glanced about the room, though the vast majority of her face remained buried in her high-necked uniform.
“Why do you care?” Noitra spat, scowling. “Little bitch. You’re startin’ to sound like this suck up over here.” He jerked his thumb toward Ulquiorra, but even without the motion, the other Espada knew exactly who he was referring to. They were all already staring at him, in fact.
And continuing to stare.
“The hell are you wearing?” It was a rare sight to see Grimmjow’s features contorted into a state of shock, but the other nine Arrancar in the room had full view of it.
“This?” Ulquiorra reached up and tapped the bobble at the end of the hat gingerly, and it jingled when it moved. The hat itself was positioned awkwardly over Ulquiorra’s mask; one prong threatened to spear it straight through. “The human girl said it was Christmastime in the human realm… and it is winter, so her statement is va-”
“Fuck if it’s valid!” Grimmjow roared, his hands positioned in such a way that it suggested that he was seconds away from upending the table. “You look like a fucking moron!”
“But it’s in the name of Christmas spirit,” Zael said with a smile. “And if I’m not mistaken, our commander is aware of this, too.”
“Comman-”
“Hmhmhm!”
What was supposed to be a “hohoho” was muffled behind the beard he wore. Aizen hummed as he walked with a spring in his step toward the table, a bag slung over his shoulder, his boots jingling in time with the bells scattered about his red and white outfit.
“The gift giving ceremony will begin once tea is served,” Aizen said, uncharacteristically jovial. “Mrs. Claus, would you care to do the honors?”
Ulquiorra stood and reached for the teapot.
“Yes, Santa.”

[Espada - challenges]
“Truth or dare, Grimmjow?” Noitra made a table with his hands and grinned.
“Argh, why d’you always gotta pick me? Fine. Dare.”
“And why do you always have to pick dare? I’m starting to run out of ideas.”
Ulquiorra sighed. That was a blatant lie; Noitra always came up with some way or another to torture the other Espada, and there was no better venue for him than their weekly game of truth or dare.
“By the way,” Zael began, “Has Arroniro come back from his challenge yet?”
“Nah.” Noitra’s lips pulled up even higher. “He’ll be pretty occupied with his dare for awhile.”

Somewhere in Las Noches, Kuckiki Rukia’s heart sped up.
[Gin/Momo - soft]
His hands were surprisingly soft. He liked to brush against her in the hallways of the fifth division, to run a finger discreetly against whatever skin he could find, and she didn’t mind so much because his hands weren’t menacing like the rest of him was.
His skin was soft, and he liked to show it off. It was very much like Ichimaru-fukutaichou to taunt in unconventional ways, and when he’d roll up his sleeves (and pointedly look in her direction) she would notice and attest to that claim, and think, deep within, that his soft skin could maybe even torture as well.
His lips were soft. She should have expected as much.
But what she never picked up was that the rest of him was weathered and rigid and not nearly as forgiving.
[Noitra/Girlkar - learning]
“I learn more about sluts like you everyday,” he whispered, menacingly, against her cheek, reaching a finger up to caress her jaw line. She swore she could feel oil dripping from his touch.
“Ya know what you’re all like? You’re no talk and no action, so that leaves people like me to pick up your slack.”
When he drew closer, she snarled, ducking and turning away. The next time he looked at her he faced the point of a sword.
“It’s sad for you, then.” Her voice was monotonous, but irritation lit a spark in her eyes. “You’re just going to have to keep learning.”
