you know.
it's the first day of summer. and you realize things aren't so bad afterall. your room has become a cool refuge from the o.c. heat. you're eating your favourite ice cream: ben & jerry's phish food now and turtle soup awaiting your pleasure in the freezer later. had my own personal West Wing (perhaps my favourite show of all time) marathon in my room last night. because my double chipped imac is awesome as hell, i don't feel bereft that my sister in law has indefinitely layed claims over the tv and all it's cable channels. actually cleaned my room and folded all my clothes. a monumental task, i'll have you know. i continued reading fukuyama's new book last night. haven't had to heart to read fiction of late. i dunno. if you ask me, non-fiction is easier to stomach when things are in the inbetween, when they're not so good and they're not so bad. fiction on the other hand is the hands down choice when things have gone to shit. anyway, i've got some planning to do, a car to wash and some movies to see. like i said, things aren't so bad. and it's the first day of summer. : )
