Oh, my God, that is the most heart-breaking story I've ever read. How is it that I felt dorry for Draco, and didn't want him to die? At least Harry gave him a dignified way out. Beautifully done.

Authors tend to make unredeemed!Draco evil and soulless and whatnot. You just kept him in his beliefs and made him a real person. I don't think I've seen anyone else do that successfully before. *cries* It was brilliant.

I like the way you portrayed the duality of war, because a lot of people tend to forget that both sides of a war are just people- that they believe and desire and fear equally, and that the winning side sets the lines of good and evil. And that you made Draco a bad person, and still Harry fell for him so deeply- I really liked that.

Thank you so much for writing this. This so goes on my memories.

This was so wonderful, even though it's utterly heartbreaking. Like others have said, I like how in-character you've kept Draco. Even though I'd like to see him redeemed in the books, his unredeemed part here is perfect. He is who he is and he makes no appologies for it. I really hoped he would live, but I knew that was probably too good to be true.
