Her prompt was "freudian slip", which I'm not sure I really did justice, but this is what I've got. Also going to use this for one of my
50_darkfics writer's choice spots. Table
here. It's more angsty than dark, but it's um...kind of dark, so anyway, I'm using it.

“I don’t want to hurt you,” Rogue said, placing a hand on Bobby’s chest to hold him back.
“You won’t,” Bobby said, leaning in closer.
“You always say that,” Rogue said, but she was no longer pushing him away quite as determinedly as she had been a moment before. “You’re always wrong. I always do.”
“It’s not so bad,” Bobby said.
But he was tense despite his words and Rogue knew, she knew that he was lying. The voices keeping her company inside her head told her that he was lying. It was sweet of him to try, but she knew that when she touched them it felt like a thousand venomous insects crawling through their blood. Like someone had pulled the plug and was rapidly draining their life out though it. Like their soul was being sucked out through their skin.
“Bobby, I don’t-”
But he wasn’t listening anymore. He closed that last inch of distance separating them-keeping him safe-and kissed her. Her eyes went wide and she tried to pull away before her skin came alive against him, but she wasn’t fast enough. She was never fast enough.
And sometimes-not always, but sometimes-she saw things…
Like Bobby’s fingers in John’s hair, John’s mouth trailing open-mouthed, nipping kisses up his thigh, the sound of John’s breathless laughter, the smell of sex and John’s skin on Bobby’s sheets. And…
The way John looked at Rogue when he didn’t think anyone was watching. Bobby’s…jealousy of that look. Jealous because John dared to look at her like that, but also because John had fucked him, but had never looked at him the way he looked at Rogue. Had never watched him with that level of intensity and predatory fascination.
Bobby told himself it was only because Rogue was something he couldn’t have and John had always coveted that which he could not have. But there was a part of him that doubted this. Mostly because Bobby wasn’t entirely sure that John could not have her if he truly wanted her.
But where Bobby saw John only as a threat, a ‘predator’, Rogue looked closer, with newer eyes, and saw something more. Envy, loneliness, and yes, jealousy. Of her. It made her sad for him, which was not something she was used to. It made her want to ask him why…
Bobby jerked away from her, shaking violently, his skin crawling with dark, worm-like veins. He gasped and backed away from her to fall on his bed. He was staring at her in… revulsion.
It was not a look she would have ever thought to see on Bobby Drake’s face when he looked at her, and she knew she should be ashamed, or frightened, or angry or something, but she…wasn’t.
She stared into Bobby’s eyes and Bobby stared back at her, trying to catch his breath. Rogue pressed her gloved fingers to her lips. “John?” she whispered.
