Yesterday went very well. Started the day with having all the players roll up their new characters for my undead campaign. As well as roll up their npcs. Of course everyone told me that it shouldn't take that long to roll up the characters, but it ended up taking almost six hours for five people.

Then once everyone was done, they played their npcs in an evil adventure as a prelude to the actual campaign. That little bit seemed to go over quite well. In fact, went over well enough, that even though I told all the players that the npcs were disposable and to not become attached or work too hard on them, the players of course became attached. One even continued to argue with me when I told him that a disease had killed his npc. Ended up just letting him let his character live because it would get him to close his trap about it (Hi Clayton!).

So, I do realize though, that my players take way too much time trying to decide what they are going to do in battle. They also continually argue about where they were in battle in relation to doors, themselves, the enemy. This means I need to get out the big paper (22x32 1" sqaure graph). Expensive, but if it gets them to speed up and not argue, it'll be worth it.

I think I might quit smoking. I just went to the store and bought lunch and dinner and some coffee from Starbucks for the same amount that I would have paid for just the coffee and cigarettes. Plus the healthy side benefits would be nice as well. We'll see though, I make no promises. Though already today I've only had two smoky treats and feel a lot more energized. Like I said though, no promises. I already quit drinking and doing any sort of drugs, I need to leave myself with some vices otherwise I won't meet the prerequisites for the "Cool" [insert sarcastic roll of eyes here] feat.
